Easter Sunday

So it’s Easter Sunday, a day recognized globally for its religious or spiritual significance. This time, I can say without question, we got up late again because of the intense partying the previous night. It may be a little remarkable to explain; but, I can justify being “at work” while “partying”. Simply put, the men and women who work in the entertainment industry, such as myself and Josh, often have to entertain public appearance. Put even more simply, entertainers must know how to be entertained. In the words of Will Ferrell in Anchorman (part 1), “It’s Science.”

So what is this social science we’ve been experimenting with?

Well for one thing, you cannot count on other individuals only yourself in the industry. But if you look carefully you can find people to trust and that is what we were scouting for. People who understand this theory and who can be trusted. What better way to catch a fish but then to go swimming, better yet be a fish.

We woke up late because of last night.

We woke up as young men.

We went into the city of Aix-En-Provence on this rainy day just after lunchtime. Starving, we headed toward a burger shop. This was an incredible sandwich. So delicious I don’t remember ever letting it make contact with my hands. I used a knife and fort to tackle the layers of melted cheese on bacon cooked with a little pink in the middle, avec salad and fries. We carried on to the a coffee shop avoiding the rain as we went.

A tennis game played on TV as we evaluated and speculated on who might win the set. It was a close game a first but it didn’t take long to find a winner. Back to the house and back to the drawing board. Just one more day in Aix, the key with this day, reflection.

It took some time but we got through a film Josh had never seen before, I had recently watched on an airplane. A good film. The kind that leaves the audience wanting more. Later Josh’s roommate Alex brought over a friend of his. We couldn’t understand each other very well but we definitely seemed to get along. I need to learn French the rest of the night was spent online, to blog and such for you! I’m still up, what are you doing?
