天津的天气 {The weather in Tianjin}

Tianjin’s air; so good you can chew it!

So far it has rained a bit, nothing too much. Not quite enough to water the grass (which in most places is just to look at). I sorta feel as if I am in a cooler / less buggy version of Orlando, FL. It is super sunny sometimes, or it is just sorta rainy. Regardless of the weather, we live in a giant cloud.

The “f”smog here is definitely the first thing to get used to. Before I traveled I was told by many of my Chinese friends to bring surgical masks and a pack of handkerchiefs. I did as they said and am happy for it. I don’t wear masks all the time, but may start wearing them on some days. I guess the misconception is that Chinese people wear the masks to protect from viruses or something, but the truth is the air is so “thick” that you could almost slice it. Once I upload some video or more pictures you will see what I mean.

But otherwise it is more than pleasant. After being in Madison my whole life it is nice to get away from snow and road construction. There is however a construction project happening right outside the hotel. The men work all during the night it seems but without a doubt their building will be up in no time flat.

So about last night….. I know this is called “Daily Shia” and that implies I would blog daily. But listen, {read}, I picked this web address domain name because it was a good one. Easy to say, easy to spell, easy to understand, and also relativly short. The real name of the website was going to be “Daily Life Science”; which, in fairness, also implies I will be posting daily. But listen, {continue reading}, there is a scientific reason why I didn’t post yesterday. I simply fell asleep. That’s right. I didn’t forget I just passed out beyond the point of coherence.

After my first day of class + 4 hours of homework + 1 hour with my one on one tutor – sleep from the night before – lunch = ZZZzzzz~~..

science

Well said Burgundy. But rest assured that I will upload many pictures and video… I know I will.

With any luck a few of my class mates will join me in posting blog entires and photos. And did I just mention video? Yes, yes I did. But you’ll just have to wait.
