    Good Morning (Madison Time) Son
So glad to see you are in China and are probably busy getting settled and acquainted with your fellow classmates, the campus and your surroundings. I imagine you have gone through at least one orientation and have found the cafeteria and other important ammenties on campus. I am starting my morning today getting ready for the Prayer and Praise Group which will be here at 8:00 a.m. but was thinking about you and can’t wait to see more photos and read your blog so I can see your adventure through your entries.

On Thursday after I dropped you off at the airport I was at an event at the Monona Terrace and told a long time friend that you had gone to China and she planted some words with me that I wanted to share with you. She said a mother provides their children with both “roots” and “wings, be careful not to clip them to much but release the so they can fly”. Right about that time you were symboically and actually in route to China stretching your spiritual, physically and mental wings. What a beautiful mental picture that provided me. Be blessed and know that your family here in the USA love you very much.

    MOM
